Well after missing out on this years Roar because of an Unknown Virus that crippled my health for 6 weeks Sad was disapointing to say least...
My healths back now so I decided to try a different approach.
I started looking over some old local Hunting grounds in nearby Erua Forest,This time of year one would think a Stag needs Sun and food,so I decided to check over a handy catchment deer numbers are low these days thanks to 2 drops of Aerial 1080 Angry but a few of us locals have known about a fairly decent stag thats been sighted on the odd occasion in the past couple of years.. Lips Sealed.
A few days ago I was in position freezing my balls off watching the sun go down on the opposite face, when right on dark this Big! Boy showed himself Shocked Knowing i only had seconds to pull off a tricky shot I wasted No time...when I reached the scene 1 more shot was required and this Bewdy! 13pt Erua Stag was mine Cheesy
I went back next morning with my mate to take some photos etc... I count myself very Fortunate! to have scored such a Stag in todays circumstances
considering the Abuse the Great! King Country herd has had to endure...

Thanks! guys... Wink I did a quick measure 273DS not a record but pretty respectable! for public land...and one of the best heads I've seen come from Erua forest Smiley.
Obviously he's scores as a 12,but when I 1st checked him over I thought he was an Imperial...but his right antler has A high trey tine or is missing it? Undecided all good tho... Wink
